Welcome to Macedon Ranges Cycling Club.

We are a small, friendly cycling club located in the beautiful Macedon Ranges. We organise a weekly social ride every Sunday morning, travelling through some of the most picturesque areas in Victoria. We also organise rail trail rides, occasional weekends away and participation in other cycling events.

The starting point for our Sunday ride alternates between Kyneton, Woodend and Gisborne.  Our rides cater for all ages and levels of ability.

We have clubrooms at the velodrome in Kyneton where we hold track racing and training for juniors.

Girls Ride Out – Lap the Rock

Our first WOMEN'S RIDE for the Amy Gillet Foundation in the Macedon Ranges was a great success with 16 women and two blokes riding the 50 kms from Newham, to Kyneton and back to loop around Hanging Rock. A couple of girls ventured out from Melbourne and were extremely impressed with what we have to offer here - they plan to return for additional rides. Christine presented all riders with a little sample bag of goodies at the outset, which was a thoughtful addition.
The sun shone, the breeze was manageable and everyone rode at their own pace, regrouping several times along the way to keep the group spirit alive and ensure that all were travelling well.
The European wasps at Hanging Rock were the only irritant (prohibiting al fresco dining) but the waiving of the $4.00 entry fee was appreciated.
A very big thank you to Christine, Linda and Margaret for their efforts in organising what will hopefully be an annual event.
