This is what is happening in the next month or so that you presence is needed

  • Committee Meeting Tuesday evening 7.00pm RSL
  • Saturday 13th Oct 1.30pm AJ’s Eatery Club Individual Time trial. Saleyard – Edgecombe circuit. Distances to suit all ages.
  • Sunday 14th Oct 9.30am. Social recruiting Ride over about 43km. Commence at Velodrome stop at Paramoor Winery for Lunch ($20.00 plus drinks) then ride home. ( ask your cycling friends along who may like to join the club )  Max 30 people.
  • Saturday 20th Oct 1.30pm Newham. Club Road Race Championship Sponsored by Campaspe Medical Practice
  • Friday 26th October. 7.00pm  Club end of season function.
  • Prior notice. Annual General Meeting.  RSL 7Pm 13th November.  Position Nomination forms are available from me

Macedon Ranges Cycling Club Social Ride

On Sunday 14th October we are having a social ride in conjunction with Wheelspeed Cycles from the clubrooms to Paramoor Winery 439 Three Chain Road  Carlsruhe.

  • The ride will be from the Velodrome Mollison St KynetonBe there at 9.00am  for briefing and intros for departure at 09.30am 14th October.
  • It will proceed via Tylden Rd, Carlesruhe Central Rd, Chevelly Rd, left onto the Old Calder and over the freeway  and right into Anderson Rd, down to Coach Rd Newham and turn left. Then to Three Chain rd and left again then to Paramoor Winery for lunch and a natter. Click this hyperlink for route details http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1675305
  • After lunch those who want to and can, some may over indulge with the good stuff and can’t, will ride back to Kyneton via Three chain Rd, Chases Lane, Pipers Ck Rd, left on to Heathcoate Rd over the freeway on to Edge St, down to High St and wend our way back to the velodrome by New and Begg St.

Whats happening

1.   If you have ordered kit and were not there last Saturday to pick it up then you can contact me on 5429 3780 to make arrangements to pick it up. So it’s over to you!!!!

2.   The Race is on!!!!

What race???  The Dr Allan Sandford Classic

When???   1.30pm 22nd September. Sign on by email; macedonrangescyclingclub@gmail.com or on the day at 1.00pm

What’s happening??;  Division one;  Those who think they are the greatest and last 50k
                                    Division two;  Those who are not sure how they will go and novices
                                    Division three; For kids
Note;  the race is restricted to thirty (30) riders so we don’t have to get a permit. Get in early, don’t delay

Where??;  Kyneton Sale yards start.
                                Division one;    Summerhill circuit
                                Division two;    Sale yards circuit X 2  
                                Division three;  Cemetery Rd out and back
Cost??;                    Division one;    $10.00
                                Division two;     $5.00
                                Division three;   $5.00

What else???  Bring a plate of food to share. Even if you are not riding we need your assistance as corner marshals etc.

3.   At the last meeting the decision was made to request ALL licensed riders teenagers and adults to come to Ross Ogilvies home @ 27 Talonga Rd Woodend 7.30pm to commence the Commissaires training.  By doing it together we can support each other when we don’t understand.  The aim of this is to ensure that we wont be in the same position we are in at the moment where we only have one commissaire.  The expectation is that we will all take our turn at being commissaire during the year.   I feel that this will enable us to see what goes on behind the scene to enable a bike race to go ahead. SO Be there and help share the load

Club Meeting

Hi All,
Its time again for us to meet as a club at the RSL 7pm Percy Nuttal room for a business meeting.
You are encouraged to come and have input at the meeting.
You as members actually own the club so it would please me greatly if everyone came and had their two cents worth.(maybe it’s five cents these days)
Attached is the meeting minutes for the July meeting and the agenda for Tuesday meeting.

You are asked to print out the agenda and bring it with you to the meeting. This would save the club some brass.

Read the minutes to see what went on last time The minutes and agenda have been sent by email to club members and supporters

If you have anything else to have discussed send it to me by email and then bring it to the meeting.

PS. Remember that next Saturday is a get together day at the Velodrome to get things done that need to be done like painting, signs fastening, fence repair, cleaning up around the velodrome and other various items. Then at about 12.30 the BYO BBQ and (fingers crossed) distributing the new club Kit. Then a ride for those who desire to go. So, bring all sorts of maintenance gear so that we can get things done.
