Thursday Ride – Woodend – 5th April 2018

7 riders arrived in Woodend this morning for today’s ride. Weather conditions were ideal with sunny skies and a light wind blowing. 4 riders  rode earlier as they had commitments in the morning. 1 rider on the early ride  broke a spoke and had to shorten his ride.

We rode our usual 53km route out to Newham via Bryces Lane, 3 Chain Road, Chases Lane and back along Batters Lane. 1 rider noticed before the ride commenced that his front Tyre had a bulge and was not safe to use. He returned home, replaced the wheel and rode the ride in reverse direction and joined up with us 2/3 of the way through the ride. 1 rider rode a shortened version by eliminating Chases Lane loop.

Once back at the cafe it was the usual chatter, refreshments before heading home.
