Thursday Ride News – Woodend – 31st May 2018

3 foolhardy riders turned up for this morning’s ride from Woodend. Conditions were very windy, cold with some misty cloud about. We rode our normal Thursday loop out to Newham via Bryces Lane, Chases Lane and Batters Lane back to Woodend.

By the time we had reached Newham we had ridden into sunshine and dry roads and it remained sunny for the rest of the ride. We enjoyed a tail or cross tail wind out to Batters Lane but upon turning to ride back to Woodend it was straight into the head wind all the way back. A fast start to the ride became a slow slog back to Woodend.

Once back at the cafe it was good to get out of the wind and into the warmth before we headed home.
