Sunday Ride – Kyneton – 5th August 2018
17 riders assembled in Kyneton this morning for today’s ride. Weather conditions were sunny with a very strong north wind blowing. The first portion of the ride was generally a cross head wind and partly protected by the trees. Once we started back to Kyneton the wind then became either a tail wind or a cross tail wind.
11 riders rode the longer ride and the remaining 6 rode modified versions of the short and medium rides. Riders on the long ride split into 2 groups with 6 in the stronger group and 5 in the other group. Only 2 riders on the long ride completed the full circuit. The remaining 9 rode a distance of approximately 55km by eliminating the section from Chases Lane onward.
After then ride it was a welcome relief to get out of the wind and into the cafe for the usual chatter and refreshments before heading home
