Thursday Ride – Woodend – 1st November 2018

9 riders arrived in Woodend this morning for today’s ride. Weather conditions were a little cool early but soon warmed up as the ride progressed. By the mid point of the ride members with vests or arm warmers were soon removing vests or rolling arm warmers  down.

We rode a 57km modified version of our usual Thursday ride. We basically rode the ride in reverse with a detour out via Boundary Road to dodge any school traffic near the primary school. We rode to Batters Lane, Chases Lane, Newham and back going up Bryces Lane, Boundary Road back to Woodend.

The ride pace was fairly brisk with wind assistance early. A light head wind along 3 Chain Road then further wind assistance at the finish.

Once back at the cafe it was the usual chatter and refreshments before we all headed home.
