ANZAC Day Ride Wednesday 25th April 2018

The Club is planning a social ride from Creswick on ANZAC Day, Wednesday 25th April 2018. We have designed a scenic route in area to the west of Creswick. It’s the region which is legendary with some Club members for the storm that hit us in the area on the BAD Ride in 2016. The photos were taken along the planned route.

The ride will go ahead if there is enough people interested and the weather forecast is reasonable. The ride start time is planned to be 10.00 am at Creswick. Note: there is about 2 km of unsealed road (hard packed granitic sand type surface) on this route which was quite doable on road bike tyres on previous rides.

While the main ride is 67 km, with no steep uphills, it is possible to create a route of about 40 km if there was demand for it. Let us know in the comments box in the form below.

Creswick is approximately a 1 hour drive from Woodend via Daylesford. At Creswick turn left from Midland Hwy into Albert St (the main street) and then right into Victoria St. The starting point is in the car park behind the Creswick Interpretative Centre  (Information Centre)  in Coopers Reserve in Victoria St. There are no coffee shops open on the day along the route so lunch/coffees will be at the end of the ride in Creswick.
