The Club is planning a ride in the Clunes area on Melbourne Cup Day Tuesday 5th November 2019. Starting from the Cumberland Hotel in Smeaton, meeting at 9.50 am for a 10 am start.
The ride will go ahead if there is enough people interested and the weather forecast is reasonable. The ride is 58 km on undulating sealed back roads. A stop is planned for coffee/lunch at Clunes. Current forecast weather conditions are for a partly cloudy day with a moderate NW wind and a top of 19 degrees.
Between Clunes and Smeaton
Smeaton is 50 minutes drive from Woodend passing through Daylesford and onto the Midland Highway. Turn right at Blampied (Swiss Mountain Hotel) and follow the signs, Smeaton is another 10 km further on.
Park at the side of the Cumberland Hotel, Smeaton on the Daylesford-Clunes Rd. Meet at 9.50 am for a 10 am start.
