Thursday Ride – Woodend – 13th June 2019
4 members arrived this morning for today’s ride. Weather conditions were cold, foggy plus wet roads and a north westerly wind blowing. As we commenced to ride the weather started to improve as we neared Newham with the sun starting to shine through the clouds. From then on we had sun intermittently for the remainder of the ride.
3 riders rode the usual 53km loop to Newham via Bryces Lane and the other rider rode the 47km shorter option by not going via Bryces Lane and waited at Newham and rejoined the ride there. We had a head wind or cross head wind for most of the way until we reached Batters Lane. From there we had a mainly tail wind back to Woodend.
Once back in Woodend it was into the warmth of the cafe for the usual chatter and refreshments before heading home.
