Sunday Club Ride – Woodend – 6th December 2020

12 members assembled in Woodend this morning for today’s ride on the first Sunday ride for the summer. The weather was not very summery, single figure temperatures with a strong westerly wind and showers threatening. 2 others members arrived to ride but unfortunately one of them had left their cycling helmet behind. Whoops. We were also joined by another member who had ridden to Woodend and rode part of the ride with us before heading  home.

All riders rode the medium ride. The members who normally ride the long ride decided not to due to the 25km’s of head wind on part of the way back. We completed the ride without having any rain, some sunny patches and very wet roads at the finish.

Back at the cafe it was the usual chatter and refreshments in a sheltered spot before we all headed home.
