7 riders assembled in Woodend this morning for today’s ride. Conditions were cool with a strong South West wind blowing. As the ride progressed the sun came through and by the time we were heading back to Woodend it became quite warm.
After some debate we decided to ride up and over the mount. We rode a 42km loop over the mount then through Baringo, Hamilton Rd and back via Black Forrest Drive. During a large portion of the ride we were protected from the wind. We then enjoyed a good tail wind back to Woodend which assisted on the climb back.
Following the usual rest at the cafe we all headed for home.
