14 riders assembled in Woodend this morning for today’s ride. The most number of riders for some time. Conditions were ideal with a light South wind and sunny skies. We rode a warm up circuit around Woodend before climbing Mt Macedon Rd to Cameron Drive, followed by a descent down Straws Ln, Bryces Ln to Newham, Carlshrue and back.
The ride covered a distance of approximately 58km’s. When we started to head back to Woodend the South wind had begun to strengthen. Riders varied the distance with 2 riders continuing on to the Cross then rejoining the other riders.
Following the ride there was the usual chit chat at the cafe before heading home after an enjoyable time.
