Sunday Ride – Woodend – 15th April 2018

12 misguided members assembled this morning for today’s ride. Weather conditions were very windy with persistent misty rain for the entire ride. Riders on the long ride also caught up with a club member who thought he had missed the start of the ride which made 13 members riding.

Another member was also spotted when we returned to Woodend. He most likely  also missed the start of the ride and rode in the reverse direction to meet the other riders.

9 riders rode the medium ride and 4 rode the long ride. Weather conditions on both rides were tough with a strong head wind and rain for the first half of the ride. Once the turning point was reached then everyone enjoyed a good tail wind back to Woodend.

Once back at the cafe we managed to drip water all over the floor and chairs as we dried out. Everybody was wearing good wet weather gear and were dry under the rain jackets. The usual chatter and fun was had while we warmed up with hot drinks before all going  home.
