Thursday Ride – Woodend – 17th January 2019
4 riders arrived in Woodend for today’s ride. Weather conditions were warm, humid, overcast skies and only a light wind and some rain beginning to fall. The rain never got heavy and the moisture was cooling.
We rode our normal 53km loop out to Newham via Bryces Lane, 3 Chain Road, Chases Lane and turning back at Batters Lane. The roads were mainly dry with just a few areas where some surface water had pooled on the road. About half way through the ride the sun began to shine through the clouds and it became quite warm from then on.
We were back in Woodend before the temperature got hot. It was then into the cafe for the usual chatter and refreshments before we headed home.
