Sunday Ride – Kyneton – 1st December 2019

12 members ( hardy souls) arrived in Kyneton this morning for the first day of summer and were greeted with a day that was definitely not one for the summer. Very cold with a strong north wind and showers during the latter part of the ride.

With the threat of rain all riders chose to ride the medium 43km ride to the top of Metcalfe Hill. On arrival at the top of the hill 8 riders chose to descend the hill and climb back up. The other 4 riders rode the main route without the descent. The 8 riders encountered drizzly rain for the last 8kms or so of the ride. With the tail wind at this stage of the ride the rain was not a significant issue as the roads stayed fairly dry.

Once back in the warmth of the cafe it was the usual chatter and refreshments before heading home.
