Sunday Club Ride – Kyneton – 9th May 2021
19 members arrived in Kyneton this morning for today’s ride. The weather was overcast with a cool northerly wind blowing. As the ride commenced the sun began to shine through. We then had periods of sunshine and intermittent clouds for the remainder of the ride. We also had a first time new member riding with us this morning and he rode the medium ride.
14 riders rode the medium ride and the remaining 5 rode the long ride. 9 riders on the medium ride descended Metcalfe Hill and climbed back up to increase the ride distance.
One of the riders on the medium ride had the misfortune to be stung by a bee on the tongue. An unusual and unpleasant experience.
Back at the cafe it was the usual chatter and refreshments before we all headed home.
