Sunday Ride – Gisborne – 4th November 2018

27 riders assembled in Gisborne this morning for today’s ride. Weather conditions were cool with a strong North Westerly wind blowing. Conditions warmed up slightly during the ride with some sun shining through.

18 riders rode the medium ride with the remaining 9 the longer ride. 5 riders on the medium ride elected not to climb Waterfalls Road and went direct to McBean Ave and one rider had to return home for an early commitment. We also had 2 first time riders with us this morning who acquitted themselves well. Riders on the medium ride regrouped at the end of Mcbean Avenue and returned together. The only drama on the medium ride was to get Dave to ride past 3 cafes without stopping.

Most riders were together back at the cafe as the riders on the long ride were back with most of the earlier riders still being present at the cafe. the usual refreshments and chatter ensued before we all headed home.
