Thursday Ride – Woodend – 8th November 2018
4 riders arrived in Woodend this morning for today’s ride. Weather conditions were sunny with a cold South Westerly Wind blowing. The biggest decision of the morning was what to wear, winter gear or a combination of winter and summer gear. Most riders chose the latter combination. Once on the ride the wind seemed to be a head wind for most of the ride with only a few short sections where we had a definite tail wind.
We rode our normal 52km loop out to Newham via Bryces Lane, then 3 Chain Road to Chases Lane and turning at Batters Lane the ride back to Woodend. When the sun was out during the ride conditions were warm but when the sun went behind a cloud the temperature dropped and became very cold.
Once back at the cafe it was the usual refreshments and chatter sitting outside in the sun before we all headed homeward.
