Sunday Ride – Woodend – 15th December 2019

18 riders assembled in Woodend this morning for today’s ride. Weather conditions were overcast with only a very light breeze, an unusual occurrence lately but welcome. We also had a rider having their first ride with the club and another who rides occasionally with us. One other rider who was to join us missed the start of the ride and caught up with the group at the cafe.

11 riders rode the medium ride and the remaining 7 rode the longer ride. The weather conditions made for a fast ride for both groups. The medium ride speed was approx 24kph or faster and the long ride 27.5kmh or faster. Light breeze and a mainly head wind back to Woodend. On both rides the most difficult part of the rides was early in the ride with climbing followed by downhill sections back to Woodend with the tail wind.

All riders were together at the cafe for the usual chatter and refreshments before we all headed home.
