Thursday Ride – Woodend – 12th December 2019

5 members arrived in Woodend this morning on an overcast day with a very strong Southerly wind blowing and temperatures more like a mid winter ride. The day warmed up only slightly as the ride progressed.

We rode our usual Thursday ride out to Newham via Bryces Lane, 3 Chain Road, Chases Lane and turning at Batters Lane for the ride back to Woodend. The ride out to Batters Lane was fairly fast as we had a tail wind or a cross tail wind for most of the way. Once into Batters Lane it was straight into the head wind for the ride back to Woodend for a hard finish to the ride.

Once back at the cafe it was the usual chatter and refreshments before we all headed home.
