Sunday Ride – Kyneton – 22nd December 2019
22 members arrived in Kyneton this morning on an extremely windy morning for today’s ride. The weather was cool and cloudy early and most riders were wearing extra clothing. Upon reaching Pastoria the sun began to shine and some of the extra layers were no longer needed.
2 riders rode the short ride, 4 the medium ride and the remaining 16 rode modified versions of the long ride. 8 members on the long ride had ridden from Woodend and returned part way through the ride. 7 rode a shortened 50km ride, one other rider who commenced from Kyneton a 78km ride.
The rides were ridden at a good pace with groups being protected from the wind by the Cobaws early in the ride. On the return journey to Kyneton the wind was mainly either a tail wind or a cross tail wind. The riders who were riding back to Woodend had a head wind back once they departed the published route.
Back at the cafe it was the usual chatter and refreshments for those who started from Kyneton before we all returned home.
