Sunday Club Ride – Kyneton – 23rd February 2020

26 riders assembled this morning in Kyneton for today’s ride. The weather was warming up by the time we commenced to ride with a light northerly wind blowing. We also had one new member having his first ride with the club plus 2 other first time riders with us.

15 riders rode the long ride, 9 rode the medium ride and 2 rode the short ride as one member was on call. Riders on the medium ride rode to the top of Metcalfe Hill with 3 proceeding down the hill and back up before rejoining the other 6. With the north wind the ride was head wind for the first half followed by a mainly tail wind for the way back. Part of the ride back the wind was a cross tail wind however ride speeds were fast.

Back at the cafe it was the usual chatter and refreshments before we headed home. A large portion of the riders on the long ride had ridden from Woodend and went back direct without the cafe stop in Kyneton.
