Sunday Club Ride – Gisborne – 22nd March 2020

22 members arrived in Gisborne this morning on a cool start to the morning with a southerly wind blowing. The weather did not warm up during the ride and there was  occasional light rain near the finish of the ride.

14 riders rode the medium ride and the remaining 8 rode the long ride. Of the riders on the medium ride 4 rode over Mt Gisborne and rejoined the other 110 in Coungalt Road who rode the published route. 9 riders on the medium ride extended the ride by continuing on to McBean Ave and back.  5 returned to Gisborne at Ferrier Road.

Due to Covid-19 there was a reduced number at the cafe for the usual chatter and refreshments before heading home. It was good to see one of our lady members back riding again after having a hip replacement. After regaining fitness she will hopefully rejoin the regular rides.
