Sunday Social Ride – Woodend & Macedon – 2nd November 2014
10 riders assembled in fairly cold conditions to ride the Woodend side of Mt Macedon to the Cross. The weather conditions on the ride were quite good with riders being protected from the wind on the climb except when in Cameron Drive approaching the Cross.
3 riders rode from the Gisborne side.
All riders reached the top including 1 new member, 2 prospective members and also bypass man. An enjoyable time was had at the coffee shop at the cross with both groups together. The 3 Gisborne side riders returned back down the Southern side and the Northern group split with 6 riders doing the long ride through Newham and the other 4 returning direct down the Mount to their cars. The 6 riders then had another mandatory coffee in Woodend before heading home.
Considering the start to the ride the weather turned out very well on the day.
