Sunday Ride – Woodend – 26th January 2020

31 riders assembled in Woodend this morning for today’s ride. Weather conditions were ideal for riding with a warm morning and a  light southerly wind blowing. We also had a first time rider with us this morning and another who travels up from Melbourne visiting relatives and rides with us on occasions.

4 riders rode the short ride with 2 of the riders having their second ride with the club, 19 rode the medium ride and the remaining 8 rode the long ride. Due to the light wind all rides were ridden at a good pace. Riders on the medium ride split into 2 groups for part of the ride before rejoining for the last portion of the ride. Riders on the long ride maintained a fast pace and the group were all together at the finish.

Most riders were together at the cafe for the usual chatter and refreshments before we all headed home. Some of the riders who rode from Gisborne went back shortly after the ride and the 2 who rode from the Kyneton area went back part way through the ride.
